Fields of Gold Contest – Rules & Regulations

ELIGIBILITY

This contest is open to Canadian citizens except in the province of Quebec who have reached the legal age of majority in their province of residence and attend and register at the Fields of Gold summer field tours throughout Western Canada between June 13th and August 31st, 2017.

The contest is not open to WWWI affiliates (DUC, Richardson, Bayer, Mosaic, Impact Group) employees, retirees or directors.

PUBLICITY

By entering the Fields of Gold contest, participants grant the Western Winter Wheat Initiative (WWWI) and Ducks Unlimited Canada permission to use their likeness for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law. This includes social media and other publicity platforms for the Western Winter Wheat Initiative (WWWI).

CONTEST PERIOD

The contest begins on June 13, 2017 and ends on August 31, 2017.

HOW TO QUALIFY

  1. Fill out and submit an entry form in person at a Fields of Gold tour location. Only one entry per person.
  2. 3 contestants will be drawn randomly at each tour location. Each of the three winners from ballots drawn will be given a WWWI Ball cap and be entered to win the Grand Prize.

WINNER SELECTION

The three entrants will be drawn at random at each event tour location. Those three entrants will each receive a WWWI baseball cap and will be entered in to the final draw for one gold bar (valued at approximately $2500.00) to be held on the last field tour either on or before September 15, 2017.

The (1) winner of the gold bar will be selected at random from amongst the ballots that were randomly drawn at each Fields of Gold tour location.  The Winner must enter a skill testing, time limited mathematical question.

GRAND PRIZE

The grand prize winner may choose one of the following prizes: a gold bar worth approximately $2,500.00 (actual weight may vary depending on date purchased) OR a direct deposit payment of $2,500.00. The prize is non-transferable. No substitution of the prize is permitted.

General Rules

1.1 The prize claim is subject to verification by DUC and/or its designated representatives. Entries that are in excess of the permitted number of entries during the Contest period are automatically void. All Contest entries obtained through unauthorized sources or which are incomplete, illegible, irregular or fraudulent in any way or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules are automatically void. DUC will be the sole and final reference source in validating a Prize claim. DUC shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to enter the Contest.  Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.  All personal and other information requested by and supplied for the purpose of the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading.  DUC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant should such an entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.

1.2 By participating, each entrant and the selected eligible winner agrees: (a) to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of DUC made thereto, (b) to release and hold harmless DUC and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives including advertising and promotion agencies from any and all liability for claims/damages including, but not limited to, claims/damages for personal injury, for property damage with respect to acceptance, possession or use or misuse of the Prize or participation in the Contest; (c) to permit DUC to use his/her name, address, city, province, of residence, photograph, video, or any likeness and any statements he/she may make regarding the Prize for advertising or publicity purposes worldwide in perpetuity and in any form of media now or hereafter devised worldwide, without any additional compensation; and (d) the winner agrees to sign a Declaration and Release Form to this effect.

1.3 The decisions of DUC in relation to this Contest will be final and binding on all entrants.

1.4 DUC shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions, line failures of any telephone network, failure of computer equipment, software.

1.5 DUC reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend this Contest, at its sole discretion if anything corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, fairness or normal operation of the Contest.

1.6 Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest or attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or DUC’s representatives or who are in violation of these Rules, as solely determined by DUC, will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void.

1.7 If a selected entrant is awarded the Prize due to a system error, malfunction or defect the Prize will be returned to be re-awarded.

1.8 Under no circumstances will DUC and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies be required to award more Prizes than what is indicated in these Rules or award the Prize other than in accordance with these Rules. The failure of DUC to enforce any term of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

1.9 The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and local laws, as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws, and all disputes will be resolved in the Province of Manitoba. The personal information provided to enter the Contest may be used by DUC for marketing purposes and will not be shared or sold to other parties unless compelled to do so by court order.

1.10 NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

1.11 This Contest is not open to residents of Québec.
